This weeks Shop of the week, Threepeats , is owned and run by the lovely Suzanne. In her shop you will find beautiful handmade necklaces and dangle earrings (for pierced ears). Her beautiful pieces are perfect for women of all ages who like vintage materials put together in a modern way.

Each of her necklaces and pairs of earnings is unique, OOAK (one- of-a-kind ), and eco-friendly. They are also eco and earth-friendly because she uses recycled t-shirt yarn, felted wool beads and vintage ribbons. She creates pieces that are casual and affordable but look more expensive.

Suzanne is a veteran member of the Etsy twitter team and her advice to new twitter members is to "have conversations with the people you follow. Check out their items, links and photos and let them know what you think".

I love to ask our members who their favorite artis are and why. Here is what Suzanne told me: "I like black and white photography. There is something very essential and eternal about it..so Dorothea Lange, Ansel Adams and Margaret Bourk-White all come to mind"

Twitter Advice from the Etsy Twitter Team

You read a lot about using Twitter to bring traffic to your shop, but HOW do you do it successfully? It's not as easy as it sounds, but here is some advice from some veteran Etsy Twitter Team members that may make Twitter a more effective tool for you:

Thea of Fibrous offers three pieces of advice to those new to Twitter:

1. Fill in your profile. Mention your hobbies and your interests. Many people, including me, don't automatically follow back, so the profile is something I look at to determine if I want to follow you.

2. Do at least 10 tweets before you start following tons of people. How will people know that you're an interesting and helpful person and that they'd like to follow you and listen to what you have to say if you haven't actually tweeted anything yet?

3. Don't just talk about yourself. Retweet (RT) what others are saying, and start chatting with others!

suggests:

1 Spread your marketing tweets out during the day to reach people who are not on Twitter 24/7 (there are a few!).

2. Personalize your marketing tweets, try to “catch the eye” with the tweet’s opening words. Don’t just send the tweet “as is” using “share” buttons available on many sites including etsy.

And most importantly,
3. Intersperse your marketing tweets with personal ones, retweets and replies.
